Hey mate thats brilliant its obviously the same one .
Had I know that was your dads rear shock mod as well I'd of left it alone.
Is that Don holding the frame ?
I don't suppose you still have the jig my Dad made for those mods ??

I only left the hole as the origonal guide, to go back to standard would probably require the removal of the new outer mounting plate I've fitted though a shock with a longer eyelet may have sufficent clearance.

I come across that photo last year when i cleared out a load of stuff from the loft. The swing arm mod was done because they couldn't afford proper length shocks so being that we put Ohlins on my new Maico those ones were surplus.
That is Pete (my old spannerman) holding the frame, you can tell that coz he always got the shitty jobs!

The jig is long gone, it amazingly walked with about 30 Rickman frames, forks and wheels and a load of alloy tanks which were nicked from a lock up out the back! At the time i put it down to pikeys but not so long ago someone told me about how they bought a load of my old bits! when they described the person it turned out to be an old employee! One day i will find him!

I will have to PM him and find out, ive been in contact with him in the last few weeks because i had someone for the 480 he had for sale. I was tempted myself but i cant keep on cutting them up to make 500 twinshocks. Ive sold all my twinshocks now but Ive just bought a couple of 89 250 Honda's which will come out if my shoulder is any good, having over 3 years out isn't good!

Just waiting on the wheels now.
I made the silencerand its rebuildable to
Cylinder nikasiled,head dome and squish machined as it was damaged (its like new now )
Wossner piston kit.

Beautiful job, spannerman. Your "tiddler" is better than new.
