who can tell me the significance of the name elsinore ? just curous

If my old memory serves me right, the 1973, Honda Elsinore was named after the famous, " Elsinore Grand Prix", that was held in the southern Calif town of, Elsinore.

BTW: The Elsinore race was preserved for posterity in the movie "On Any Sunday" along with several other forms of racing in the early 70s/late 60s. Movie was done by Bruce Brown, Endless Summer guy. Kind of a must see if you are into vintage bike or just happen to be old and senile such as myself.
