I am going to need some new fenders for my 1976 MR175.

Any aluminum one available?

What else do you recommend?

thanks

Bill,

This one's pretty much identical to the original (scroll down to '1976-1978 Front Fender White' (no pic, but looks just tlike the red one above it):

Properly-fitting rear fenders are harder to find. I was able to find one on eBay for $12 a while back, but it needs some work. Here's the only plastic rear fender section I could find there right now (there's plenty of auctions of the metal sub-fender):

It's been quite some time since I've seen an aluminum fender; can't really help you there.

I wonder if I can repair and paint the old fenders I have. The rear has a split.

Bill,

The rear fender I have has six extra holes and some deep grooving from the taillight. At some point I'll strip it, use JB Weld to fill in the damage, paint it, and it should look fine. Perhaps you can do the same with yours. If you work JB Weld into the entire length of your split and then leave a thick bead on the underside, it should be plenty strong.

Have fun at Hanford!

Ray
